Legal / Privacy Policy

MOOT respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when operating our autonomous developer tools and background daemons.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address, username, and encrypted API authentication tokens provided during registration.

  • Performance Telemetry: Anonymized execution metrics, including local pipeline speed cycles, context token counts, and system runtime failures.

  • Communications: Technical bug reports, console logs, or direct support feedback messages you share with the core team.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate, optimize, and maintain the sub-100ms context hashing engine

  • To resolve technical runtime bugs and process watchdog failures

  • To deliver critical security patches, terminal version notices, and system alerts

  • To monitor infrastructure load, analyze performance trends, and ensure platform safety

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data or repository information. We share data only with trusted infrastructure providers required to process cloud authentication and logs, or if strictly mandated by governing law.

4. Code & Workspace Privacy

MOOT parses your local repositories within an isolated, copy-on-write hypervisor container. Your raw source code files, environment variables, and local workspace data never leave your host machine and are not collected by our servers.

5. Data Security

We implement strict cryptographic measures, including AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 for all data transit. While we enforce rigid hypervisor container isolation layers to lock out untrusted code, no network platform is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You maintain full rights to access, download, update, or completely purge your registration profile and remote telemetry logs. You can wipe your active account records at any time by contacting us directly.

7. Data Retention

We retain account data and telemetry records only as long as necessary to provide active developer infrastructure services, monitor system performance, and fulfill our immediate legal compliance requirements.

8. Developer Eligibility

MOOT is engineered as an infrastructure utility intended strictly for individuals with full professional coding and engineering capacity. We do not knowingly collect records from users under 13 years of age.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this privacy framework to accommodate new hypervisor architectures or safety adjustments. Any significant policy changes will be pushed directly to our repository changelogs or system notices.

10. Contact

For all architectural privacy queries, data access requests, or telemetry audits, email the core engineering team at privacy@moot.dev.
